Managing Users¶
User list¶
Admin → Users shows all registered accounts with their role and last login date.
Use the search box to filter by name or username. Click any user to edit their account.
Adding a user manually¶
Click Add User to create an account directly (without Azure SSO):
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Username | Unique login identifier |
| Must be a valid Napier email address for SSO compatibility | |
| Role | Pilot (default) or Accountable Manager |
| Password | Set a temporary password; user should change it on first login |
Manually created accounts use local password authentication. They can be linked to Azure SSO later if the user logs in via SSO with a matching email.
Pending Azure SSO reviews¶
When a user logs in via Microsoft SSO for the first time, their account is created automatically with the Pilot role and flagged for review. A badge on the Pending Reviews sidebar link shows the count.
- Click Pending Reviews in the sidebar
- Review each new account:
- Confirm the user is a legitimate member of the organisation
- Adjust the role if they should be an Accountable Manager
- Click Mark as Reviewed to clear the flag
Accounts that are not reviewed remain fully functional as Pilots — the review is an awareness mechanism, not a gate.
Editing a user¶
Click Edit next to any user to change:
- Role — Pilot or Accountable Manager
- Password (local accounts only; Azure SSO users manage their password through Microsoft)
Deleting a user¶
Click Delete next to a user to remove their account. This action is permanent. Any missions or campaigns they created are retained and remain accessible.
Warning
Deleting an Accountable Manager account while they are the only admin will leave you without admin access. Always ensure at least two Accountable Manager accounts exist.
Role levels¶
| Role | Power value | What it can do |
|---|---|---|
| Pilot | 20 | Create/manage campaigns and missions, complete checklists, upload logs, view own certs |
| Accountable Manager | 90 | All Pilot permissions + full Admin Panel access |
